Bluepoint's 2025 Sustainability Drive

2025 saw us continue with our sustainability drive here at Bluepoint Tags & Labels – and we’ve now seen the first full year’s worth of benefits from our recently installed solar panels. Over the last twelve months, they generated an impressive 36.2MWh of electrical power, or the equivalent saving of 8.43 tonnes of CO2. That’s about 40% of our annual electricity usage.

Further to that, by using repurposed materials, particularly with the glassine liner on our wristbands, we’ve saved a further 2.80 tonnes of CO2.

Repurposed glassine liner sees considerable carbon savings

Combined, that gives a total carbon saving of 11.23 tonnes. To put that in a real-life context, that’s the equivalent to taking 5 cars off the road every year, planting 510 trees, or the annual energy usage of two typical homes.

As well as making sure our production processes are as green as possible, it also means that we are able to make continued cost savings, which we can then pass onto YOU, the customer!

We also produce many of our tags and labels with a range of sustainably-sourced, paper-based materials to give our customers more eco-friendly options, as well as recycled synthetic materials wherever possible – for example, with our post-consumer recycled self-adhesive labels.
