A Step Towards Sustainability
There is growing appetite across many industries to embrace more sustainable industrial label materials. Bluepoint’s new Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) self-adhesive labels offer a powerful and effective action that businesses can take immediately to embrace more eco-friendly practices and reduce single-use plastic dependency.
Incorporating recycled material into labels is nothing new. However, what differentiates this new range is the high percentage of recycled material incorporated, and the origin of that recycled material.
We have selected Post-Consumer Recycled Polyethylene (rather than post-industrial recycled plastic) as our preferred material choice. Using household consumer packaging waste to make labels gives the plastics we chuck into our recycling bin a second (or even a third or fourth) life. This helps ensure these materials are playing a continued role in the circular economy, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and helping combat climate change.
