About Bluepoint

the bluepoint story

How it all started

Directors Iain Pringle and Robert Burton, along with the backing of Andrew Dean, opened Bluepoint Tags & Labels for trading in October 2017. It all started in an Exeter based 'tin shed' but soon expanded into our current premises in Totnes, Devon UK.

2017

With a strong determination and a vision to establish a company that was not only successful but also customer-oriented, Iain and Robert founded the business, drawing upon their extensive experience in manufacturing industrial tags and labels. The initial months were met with challenges, but with the support of family and friends, it became evident that customers embraced the Bluepoint approach.

2018

During this year, a reinforced focus on sales necessitated the expansion of both the office and production teams. The last two quarters of 2018 witnessed rapid growth as Bluepoint welcomed two new members to the production team and an additional office team member. By the end of 2018 and the beginning of 2019, the "tin shed" was bursting at the seams.

2019 - 2020

Following the relocation to Totnes in 2019, Bluepoint continued to thrive, establishing itself as a trusted name for industrial tags and labels. However, 2020 proved to be a challenging year for everyone, with the pandemic affecting individuals and businesses alike. Despite the difficulties, Bluepoint maintained its manufacturing operations, adhering to government guidelines to ensure the safety of its staff and the ability to serve customers.

2021

The year 2021 remained challenging and uncertain for both businesses and individuals, as the world grappled with the aftermath of the pandemic and ongoing supply chain issues. Despite the often discouraging news, Bluepoint continued to grow and invest. A new production line was commissioned to drive the company forward.

2022

As 2022 arrived, it brought significant growth for the company, paralleled by the expansion of the Bluepoint team. The synergy between the team's success and the company's achievements was evident. With a fresh branding strategy and an enhanced focus on marketing, coupled with increased international exporting, the company experienced a boost.

Present: Growth & Change

As we saw a return to ‘normal’ trading levels in 2023, the team now eagerly anticipates an exciting 2024, with a continual increase in exporting opportunities and home demand. We remain steadfast in our commitment to serving both loyal and new customers, ready to provide solutions to any label or tag needs that may arise. The company's sustained growth and unwavering dedication to excellence affirm their commitment to customers well into the future.
