What are Wristbands?
Event wristbands are wearable bands that are used as an activity identification solution throughout the world by organisers for entry control and crowd management. Now seen as an industry standard, they are a popular choice for events including festivals & concerts, theme parks, sporting events, campsites and conferences.
What are they used for?
Bluepoint are one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of event and security wristbands.
Our wristbands come in an array of different colours and we also offer a full colour, custom printing service. Different coloured wristbands are a great way to signify zone management (for example to allow backstage access), and custom printing allows for branding and logos, sponsor details, event names and sequential numbering or barcodes for tracking and scanning.
One of the unique features of our wristbands is the die-cut, tamper-proof adhesive strip. The wristband is fastened by removing the protective liner, revealing a sticky, adhesive section which is then pressed down firmly to secure it to the wearer’s wrist. If anyone tries to remove or re-stick the wristband, the material will tear or delaminate, clearly showing evidence of being tampered with, and makes removal impossible without destroying the wristband.
The benefits of this are that it prevents unauthorised transfer of wristbands, and increases event security without the need for expensive tech.
Bluepoint’s wristbands are also available with enhanced security features, including customisable holographic foil and invisible UV ink which can only be seen when using a UV blacklight.
Synthetic Paper Wristbands
A popular choice for wristbands is synthetic paper – this is a printable material made from spun-bonded HDPE, and one of the materials that we use here at Bluepoint is Tyvek® from Dupont™. Tough and durable, this material is lightweight, easy to wear, and being water and tear-resistant, is a great solution for outdoor and indoor multi-day events. Tyvek® can also be recycled through the correct recycling streams.
Recyclaband
We understand that many event organisers are looking for an environmentally responsible, sustainably sourced wristband – which is exactly why we’ve introduced Recyclaband.
Recyclaband is a PVC-free, paper-based material from fully certified, sustainable sources, with the added benefit that it is kerbside recyclable along with regular household paper waste (classed as mixed wastepaper under EN 643).
It’s tear and weather resistant and features all the standard security features of our synthetic wristbands.
Recyclaband (as well as our standard synthetic option) also comes with a fully repurposed glassine release liner, which gives considerable carbon savings over other products using a virgin siliconized liner.
Litter Free Wristbands
With a unique glassine liner design that simply folds away after peeling, Bluepoint’s litter free spun-bonded HDPE wristbands help to provide an eco-friendly and litter free option to event organisers.
Just as comfortable to wear as our other options, and available across the same vibrant colour range, Bluepoint’s litter-free bands give another eco-conscious option for our trade customers.
A Choice of Colours and Sizes
Bluepoint’s wristbands are available in a core range of 19 bright and vibrant colours in two standard sizes of 19mm and 25mm (only 25mm available in litter free).
Supplied in sheets, Bluepoint’s colours are manufactured with a unique and superior ink technology, making the wristbands not only stand out from the rest, but produce excellent overprinting results through your chosen print method.
As well as keeping all our plain colours in stock, we also supply striped, chequered and animal patterns too!
